得克萨斯州利格城

When deciding whether to become an Airbnb host, it is important for you to understand the laws in your region or city. As a platform and online marketplace we do not provide legal advice, but we want to provide resources that may help you better understand applicable laws and regulations. This list is not exhaustive, but it may give you a good start in understanding your local laws. If you have questions, visit League City’s short-term rental webpage or contact City Planner Ann Williams (Ann.Williams@leaguecitytx.gov), or consult a local lawyer or tax professional.

Short-term rental permit

Hosts in League City are required to obtain a short-term rental (STR) permit to host short-term stays (fewer than 30 nights). You can find League City’s STR online permit application and a full checklist of what you’ll need to apply here

The cost for a STR permit is $300, and you’ll need to renew your permit annually. Permits are effective January 1 through December 31.

Adding your short-term rental permit to your listing

Hosts in League City are required to add their short-term rental permit to their Airbnb listing or to claim an exemption.

  1. Go to Listings and select the listing you want
  2. Under Listing editor, click or tap Edit preferences
  3. Select Regulations and complete the information required

You can add a permit number or claim a hotel exemption (If relevant for your listing).

Other contracts and rules

It's also important to understand and abide by other contracts or rules that bind you, such as leases, condo board or co-op rules, HOA rules, or rules established by tenant organizations. Please read your lease agreement and check with your landlord if applicable.

Taxes

As of April 1, 2024, Airbnb collects and remits all applicable local Hotel Occupancy Taxes for Hosts in League City.

Our commitment to your community

We are committed to working with local officials to clarify how local rules impact the community. We will continue to advocate for changes that will enable people to rent out their homes.
