The Location - NEAR JACO AND LOS SUEÑOS
Casa Celestial is located in a sprawling, secure, gated community in the Jaco/Los Sueños area and, as its name suggests, occupies a heavenly perch atop a small mountain peak high above the fishing village of Tarcoles on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. There she commands majestic views of the ocean, the fields, forests, and rooftops of the village below, and the surrounding mountain. The air here is quite possibly the freshest you have ever breathed, and at this altitude, the constant cooling breezes are always present, moderating, and welcome.
A Whole New Feel . . . Renovation Completed in 2021
The open concept main floor of this two-level Mediterranean-style luxury villa is bright, airy, spacious yet comfy, and as you look out in any direction, you are surrounded by the beauty of nature.
The first floor includes a fully renovated kitchen, dining and living rooms, as well as a Bedroom with a Queen size bed, and a separate full private bathroom.
The second floor features three Bedroom suites. Two of the suites boast King size beds, and the third has a Queen size bed. The two "Kings" include en suite bathrooms. One has an ocean view while the other has a balcony and a tropical forest and mountain view. The "Queen" has an adjacent full private bathroom. Also, on the second floor is the media/entertainment room complete with a desk and an incredible ocean view.
The Outdoor Area
Of course, you won't want to spend all day indoors, so walk on out to the outside area which boasts an infinity pool that hangs over the edge of the mountain. There you can take a swim, sunbathe, read a book, enjoy coffee in the morning or an adult beverage or two in the afternoon or evening, or play a game of cards with your friends.
Take a stroll around our beautiful garden just to take in the scenery and serenity, and pick some fresh fruit if in season. Our property has mangoes, lemons, mandarins and oranges. If you need shade or a little bit of peace and quiet, you can also relax on the covered front patio or in the hamock and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views. In the evening, be sure to take in the most spectacular sunsets you will ever see.
The outdoor area also features a beautiful and one of a kind palapa dining area. The palapa has running water, lighting, and is always cool enough to be suitable for outdoor meals. Additionally, there is a brand new outdoor kitchen area complete with a BBQ grill, high powered wok burner, sink, refridgerator and power to enhance your casual dining and evening entertainment experiences.
During your stay, you are likely to encounter many of the species of wildlife Costa Rica has to offer. You will be treated daily to the sight of a wide variety of birds, such as Macaws, Toucans, and Quetzals, as well as many different butterflies. Monkeys, Iguanas, Sloths, White-Tailed Deer, and Armadillos are just some of the animals spotted on or around the property.
Points of Interest
Casa Celestial's location on the Central Pacific coast is uniquely ideal. It is just far away enough from all the traffic and noise to feel secluded, but close enough to be only minutes away from whatever activities you wish to pursue.
1. SJO airport in San Jose is just 43 short miles, a tad over an hour drive, away from Casa Celestial. In order to get to "Heaven" as the name of our villa suggests, we recommend that guests rent a car at the San Jose airport or in Jaco. The roads in our development are well maintained but in some areas could be steep and winding.
2. The bustling beach town of Jaco (Hah'-co) and Jaco beach are less than a 20 minute drive down the coast from the villa. Most goods and services you might need including many shopping, dining, and nightlife options are available there.
3. Food markets are just a 5 minute drive down the hill in Tarcoles (Tar'-co-lis).
4. Some nice beaches and plenty of fine restaurants are within a 10-25 minute drive of the villa. There are two casinos nearby in the Playa Herradura area.
5. Carara National Park is just a few minutes away from Tarcoles, and Cantarata Manantial de Agua Viva, the tallest waterfalls in Costa Rica at 600 feet, is also nearby.
6. Excursions such as bird-watching tours, zip-lining, hiking, horseback riding, crocodile boat trips, canopy tours, snorkeling, surfing, sport fishing, and day trips to Tortuga Island or Manuel Antonio National Park are all close by, easily accessible or easily arranged.
All of these activities can be arranged with the help of our knowledgeable staff.
One More Thing
Finally, we must warn you to the property's single most significant drawback . . . Once you stay at Casa Celestial, you will NEVER want to leave.
